Royal College of Surgeons

This Grade II listed building recently underwent extensive refurbishment, with Capstan appointed by the Royal College of Surgeons to deliver Passive Fire Protection works throughout the facility under our third-party FIRAS accreditation.

Floor-by-floor fire safety surveys have been undertaken to identify and address remedial requirements, including penetration sealing, FD30 and FD60 fire door installations, and ongoing fire door maintenance to restore full compliance.

The building has remained fully operational throughout the programme, requiring careful coordination and minimal disruption to occupants. The client has expressed a high level of satisfaction with the quality of works delivered to date, and Capstan remains on site continuing works in 2026.
