Appointed through Skanska’s supply chain, we delivered the Design & Build of a 1,000 m² purpose-built welfare facility supporting over 800 site operatives. The facility remained fully operational throughout the shell and core works and final fit-out over a four year period.
Works included 60-minute fire-rated partitions and doors, full M&E installations, a hot kitchen with integrated fire suppression, fire-rated roller shutters, and site-wide fire alarm integration. Firestopping was developed in coordination with the Chief Fire Officer and Gypsum specialists, resulting in a bespoke system for complex service penetrations.
The project formed part of our FIRAS accreditation assessment, which we successfully achieved, leading to the award of a further 80 fire door installations within the main 22-storey building. Careful coordination, crane managed logistics, and strict safety controls ensured efficient delivery within a live construction environment.
